Parents who are wondering what to do with their children now that schools have closed due to the coronavirus scare will be relieved to hear warm weather will be coming our way.
Spring seems to have finally arrived, with temperatures soaring from 8C to highs of 14C by the middle of the week, according to the Met Office.
It has even been predicted that the 500-mile ‘Portuguese pulse’ of warm air that is heading towards Britain will result in temperatures reaching 21C over the next few weeks, Express reported.
Therefore, this could be the ideal time to start building a log cabin in the UK, giving families an activity they can all get involved in, as well as enabling the children to enjoy being outside in the garden while they are not allowed at school.
Forecaster for the Weather Outlook Brian Gaze stated: “Sunshine will help boost the mood, with an extended period of settled and dry conditions after recent months’ widespread flooding.”
Spending time in the garden will be a respite for many families over the coming weeks, enabling them to get fresh air and enjoy some outside exercise. This is particularly the case since it was revealed the public can only leave the house for shopping for essentials, medical needs, travelling to and from work, and for one form of exercise a day outdoors.
With regards to when this spell of good weather will begin, a Met Office forecaster predicted it could start as soon as Sunday.
“Dry and settled conditions should dominate through the end of March and into early April, bringing plenty of sunny spells across the UK,” the spokesperson stated.
