It’s been a tough few weeks for the country, with everyone stuck at home and all social events having to be put on the backburner amid lockdown. However, the one saving grace is that the weather has held up during this challenging time, and we’ve even been able to enjoy some gloriously sunny days.

Well, there could be even better weather to come our way, according to the latest forecast, with temperatures set to reach 22 degrees C in some areas this week.

BBC meteorologist Louise Lear gave the public something to look forward to by predicting: “It will be dry, settled and sunning.”

The Express reported her saying: “In terms of the feel of things, we’re likely to see temperatures at ten to 19 degrees as an overall high. As we move into next week, we’re likely to see those temperatures at 22 degrees.”

As lockdown procedures continue, people won’t be able to enjoy picnics in their local parks or basking in the sun in their favourite beer garden, but they can have a barbecue at home and whip up some delicious cocktails to really get into the summer spirit.

One at our favourites we’ve come across at, Blame Gloria in Covent Garden, is Starburst Boogie, made with Bombay Sapphire gin, Eristoff vodka, amaretto, peach liqueur, fresh lemon juice and pineapple juice. This will certainly keep you refreshed if the temperatures soar this week!
